Synopsis of 'Fade to Black' (Almuzara Publishing). Ramón Ramírez is an actor. And he's determined to commit the perfect crime. During the filming of an ambitious series, Ramón plans to stick to the script and carry out a meticulously calculated murder with the help of the mysterious Crow Man. Everything must happen in broad daylight, on a set full of cameras, technicians, and actors. No one can suspect anything. No one must connect him to the victim. However, when a body turns up sooner than expected and the plan begins to unravel, the filming becomes a trap. Ramón discovers that he's not the only one keeping secrets. The set transforms into a crime scene, and the lines between fiction and reality begin to blur as the police investigation progresses and all eyes turn on him. Lies, ambition, and murder converge in a noir novel with touches of even darker humor that delves into the dark underbelly of the audiovisual world. Here, every take could be the last.
